Manikins

We have found that when dressing these dolls, it is often very much easier if the dolls have no legs.

Advantages:
Firstly, as manikins stand happily, a stand becomes unneccessary.
This in turn means a lot less bulk around the waist.
Secondly, manikins are less delicate - if joints aren't there, they can't break.
Lastly, they take less time to make, so are a little cheaper.

Disadvantages:
You can't change your mind and seat the doll after all.
You can't change your mind and dress the doll as a gentleman!
