ABOUT USMiniphile is a new venture by a group of people from different parts of the world who have close ties with a company that makes world class, historically accurate period furniture and who have great interest in dolls' houses. Our aim is to bring our long experience with making furniture to the "inch to the foot'' miniature world. The wood we use is a very dense hardwood (Dalbergia odifera) with the very fine grain structure necessary for miniatures. It is perhaps the best cabinet making wood available in the world today and very close to the now unavailable Cuban mahogany that was so loved in the past by the best cabinet makers. Our range of furniture will cover the styles and periods we know best - English Georgian and Regency. Our furniture is accurate in style, scale and construction. Nothing is watered down - we use the correct joints and do not take shortcuts with the details to make it easy. Every curl and swirl of the original design is accurately represented. Some of our pieces are scaled down versions of the Classic Chairs range. Classic Chairs has been making furniture for over 20 years and have been specified for many five star hotels, royal palaces and other prestigious buildings such as embassies and exclusive clubs throughout the world.
